Job Description & Qualifications Sales Engineer
Open Systems International, Inc. (www.osii.com ), a
dynamic and high growth company, is a leader in providing open,
state-of-the-art, high-performance automation solutions to the electric
utility industry worldwide. We are currently looking for Sales Engineers to
join our team.
Candidates will be responsible for technical sales support of
state-of-the-art applications for real-time control systems and support
functions for mission critical Client/Server Windows, Unix, and Linux based
systems. Sales Engineering assists sales efforts in the form of
proposal/quote support and technical discussions.
A technical degree in IT or Engineering (Electrical/Computer/Software) is
preferred. Permanent work authorization in the United States is a
requirement. This position may require some travel, both domestic and
international.
We are seeking candidates with interest and experience in one or more of the
following areas:
** 3rd party vendor management and knowledge (Dell, HP, IBM, Sun,
Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, MySQL, Veritas, etc.)
** Server technologies and configurations
** PC technologies and configurations
** Network technologies and configurations (Cisco, etc.)
** Client/Server, network communications
** UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems
** Communications (modems, radios, fiber, etc.)
** General electric utility and control system knowledge
Successful candidates must have excellent written and oral communications
skills, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, superior problem
solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced,
team-oriented environment.
